"Plastic Fantasies" opens the doors to an infinite universe where imagination and innovation merge, transcending the traditional boundaries of design and technology. In this exhibition, you will witness a collection of 3D-printed designer toys, created through the collaboration of human creativity and generative AI.

"Plastic Fantasies" exemplifies the invitation of generative AI as a co-creator in the design process, the fusion of digital design and physical production, and the redefinition of the designer's role as a curator in human-AI collaboration. In this symbiotic relationship between design and technology, a harmonious and dynamic interaction is created where the productivity and speed of AI and the essence of human creativity are maintained. "Plastic" not only evokes the malleability and versatility of synthetic materials but also signifies the capacity for adaptation, transformation, and reshaping, whereas "fantasy” represents the bridge between the conceivable and the inconceivable, a realm where the impossible becomes possible.

Generative AI, acting as a co-creator in this process, has pushed the boundaries of design and allowed us to expand the horizons of storytelling. As a complement to traditional methods and human creativity, it has enabled the creation of a series of works that are both familiar and entirely new. As a result, a universe filled with fantastic creatures, each bearing witness to the limitless potential of machine intelligence, has come to life. In other words, through human-AI co-creation, we have not only created designer toys but also the inhabitants of a vibrant and enchanting universe. Each character is a unique entity with its own history, personality, and role within this fantastic realm. The toys you will see are not just ordinary objects; they are physical embodiments of creative narratives and ideas.

However, our journey does not end in the digital realm. We have brought these fantastic beings, created through AI collaboration, into the physical realm through the miracle of 3D printing technology, and now we present these co-created universes and their inhabitants to your witness.
